We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Area Manager to join our team! In this role you will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the group's business and operations – focused on winning work, providing excellent customer service, and managing internal operations. The successful candidate will be an effective “seller/doer” that balances business development, project management, and operational management responsibilities. What You'll Be Doing
- Develop strategic initiatives and business plans for the district that align with the overall goals of the sector and division.
- Successfully win and manage complex and major projects within the strategic and operational framework.
- Provide overall leadership and support to other divisions working in Country to promote a One Parsons approach.
- Provide oversight and coordination of staff resource planning, including the timely assignment of staff among the projects to provide quality deliverables to clients.
- Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development and continuous improvement that supports division objectives.
- Recruit, retain and develop top industry talent.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.
- Enhance the organization’s profile and reach across the industry.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency in district quality, budgetary constraints and expectations and that appropriate monitoring and control mechanisms are developed and administered.
- 20 years of related work experience in the planning, design and management of major projects.
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Demonstrated experience of business development, team building (including sub-consultants), and project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to grow market share. Must have strong relationships with key clients in Bahrain.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective coordination of regional business development efforts, including an understanding of overall corporate business strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, recruit, mentor and develop talent.
- Creative and innovative leader with the ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.
- Licensed PE or equivalent.
- Strategic business thinker.
- Strong emotional intelligence.
