Job Purpose To troubleshoot & repair machine breakdowns and to perform daily routine inspection and maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is expected to report their activities on a daily basis to the Maintenance Supervisor while providing area breakdown coverage. The purpose of reporting the actions taken by the maintenance technician is to identify the factors affecting the performance of the production line or process area. Responsibilities

On-time completion of work orders & handover to planner.
Troubleshooting report updated on a daily basis.
Keep all the running lines to achieve production targets against the plan.
Reduce stoppages of packaging and filling in order to increase production.
Contribute towards the achievement of production volume as planned.
Ensure preventive maintenance during CIP and shutdown(s).
Increase awareness of avoiding incidents while human and machine interface.
Responsible for loss in process improvement related to engineering.
First point of contact for resolving all breakdowns on the production line. If unable to solve a problem, seek assistance from a technician who can.
Conduct diagnostic analysis and take responsibility for improving line performance through less downtime due to mechanical failure.
Coach and mentor operators on correct operation of their machines, how the machine operates, and things to look for if the machine suddenly stops.
Coordinate changeovers on the line, ensuring adequate support from other technicians and operators to minimize changeover time.
Develop and carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance routines when the line becomes available.
Ensure that C.I.L (Clean, Inspect and Lubricate) essential activities are effectively carried out on the line.
Assist with other production line changeovers, breakdowns, and maintenance as directed by the line manager and maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3-year diploma/certificate in mechanical engineering. Minimum Experience:

4 to 6 years' experience in seaming, filling, and capping as a maintenance technician.
Experience in Ferrum and JBT seamer, Arol, Zalkin, and Krones/Sidel Capper and filler is an advantage.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering.
