Work Location: Hyderabad Job Type: Fulltime Position Overview: The Remote Sensing Analyst is responsible for acquiring, processing, analyzing, and interpreting remote sensing data to extract meaningful insights for various applications. This role involves working with satellite imagery, aerial data, and GIS software to support environmental monitoring, agriculture, urban planning, and other geospatial projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition & Processing: Collect and preprocess remote sensing data from satellites, drones, or aerial imagery.
- Image Analysis: Analyze and interpret geospatial data using techniques such as image classification, change detection, and vegetation indices.
- GIS Integration: Incorporate remote sensing data into GIS systems for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Data Interpretation: Generate insights from remote sensing data related to land use, crop health, environmental changes, and more.
- Software Proficiency: Use specialized remote sensing software and GIS tools for data analysis.
- Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports, maps, and presentations on analysis results and findings.
- Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including environmental scientists, engineers, and researchers, to support project goals.
- Quality Control: Ensure data accuracy through validation methods and quality assurance processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing, Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in remote sensing or geospatial analysis.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms for large-scale remote sensing data analysis (e.g., Google Earth Engine) and GIS platforms (e.g. QGIS, SNAP, ERDAS Imagine).
- Knowledge of image processing techniques such as classification, change detection, and spectral analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for geospatial data analysis.
