Construction Supervision & Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Title: Construction Supervision & Quality Assurance Specialist [International Expert] Key Qualifications/Requirements: He/she should have a degree in Civil Engineering and have at least an experience of 15 years’ experience in dealing with construction supervision and quality assurance work of new dams, rehabilitation works of existing dams, preparation of CS&QA manual/guidelines for dam specific works, preparation of guidelines/manuals of dam safety management, publication of technical papers, past member of any expert committee constituted for any dam linked disaster/failure/distress. He/she should have worked in at least 5 Dam Rehabilitation Projects Job Descriptions:

• Serve as the Nodal Expert for overall coordination and implementation of CS&QA activities after DTL and TL.
• Review submitted PSTs and CS&QA plans in all bid documents.
• Finalize CS&QA plans to ensure standardization and effectiveness.
• Develop an advanced and updated CS&QA Plan for rehabilitation works, including detailed chapters, formats, and reporting standards.
• Standardize the CS&QA Report format for use at third-party, second party, and first-party levels.
• Prepare technical bid documents as needed, focusing on the bill of quantities and technical specifications.
• Provide key CS&QA inputs based on the type of rehabilitation activity.
• Conduct third-party CS&QA inspections and manage transmittals.
• Facilitate capacity building of DRIP IAs through customized training programs at various levels.
• Contribute to the revision of existing guidelines and the formulation of new guidelines.
• Provide inputs for the National Website for dam safety information and the MIS system.
• Support the development of in-house expertise at select Academic Institutes.
• Develop the Training Calendar for CS&QA activities and customized CS&QA training programs for the annual DRIP Calendar.
• Conduct need-based inspections of DRIP dams.
• Accompany central DSRP panels for special dam safety issues.
• Handle any DRIP-related activities assigned by the Project Director, DRIP, CWC.
