QA Automation Engineer

Sukuk Technologies is seeking a Test Engineer to join our technology department and play a vital role in enhancing our product quality and reliability. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product and development teams to comprehend their testing requirements, create test plans and test cases, and determine the optimal balance between automated and manual testing approaches. Your primary objective is to expand Sukuk's test automation capabilities; however, in the interim, you will assist in executing test plans, documenting bug reports, and ensuring confidence in the code released by our teams. This role entails a substantial hands-on contribution in designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts and processes. Responsibilities:  Define and implement test automation tools and strategies to enhance the quality and dependability of Sukuk products.  Participate as an integral member of an agile software development team, promoting quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle via automated tests.  Elevate the overall team by promoting and exemplifying sound development practices, such as design sessions, code reviews, and documentation.  Maintain standards for application testing, issue tracking, and issue reporting.  Collaborate with the testing and development teams to understand the software requirements and identify suitable test scenarios.  Analyze test results and provide feedback on the quality of the software. Knowledge and Skills:  2-3 years of experience in Automation testing.  Proficiency with open-source automation tools, such as Robot Framework, Appium, Cypress, Selenium, or other appropriate test automation frameworks.  Ability to efficiently read software design and code to develop comprehensive test cases and anticipate potential faults.  Proficiency writing and maintaining automation code, libraries, and frameworks in Python and/or JavaScript.  Capability to troubleshoot software issues in order to identify the source, whether it be in the test or application code, or a specific component.  Detail-oriented with strong organization and structured thinking capabilities.  Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.  Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.  Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.  Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.  Execute automated test suites to identify defects and verify software functionality.  Document and report defects in a clear and detailed manner, ensuring that they are easily understandable by the development team.  Experience in the integration of automated testing frameworks into the CI/CD pipeline, utilizing Bitbucket Actions (or comparable platforms) to enhance efficiency and reliability of software release cycles.  Experience in test automation for web front-ends, mobile apps, and API Automation  Experience with API testing using tools like Postman.  Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.  Experience in test case Management Tool TestRail
