Maintenance Supervisor

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for establishing and implementing long-range plans to improve maintenance activities, providing technical assistance to manufacturing departments, and ensuring the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment.Key Responsibilities:Implement corporate safety policies and initiatives, and maintain plant housekeeping standards.Detect and resolve equipment malfunctions, and initiate corrections.Support plant goals in Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost.Supervise construction and maintenance projects.Assist in implementing divisional and corporate policies.Maintain schedules and quality requirements.Ensure compliance with Local and National Labor agreements.Train and develop employees.Initiate contact with internal and external teams to solve problems.Required Skills:Ability to work varied shifts, including overtime as required.Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.Experience in machine, assembly, and/or facility areas.Awareness of safe industrial work environments.Basic math skills, including trigonometry.Clerical work, data gathering, and machine studies experience.Experience supervising a multi-trade workforce.Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes.Behavior-based competency assessments completed.High analytical ability and strong interpersonal skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes proficiency.Education and Experience:Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.5-7 years of experience required.
