A Tire Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to tire maintenance and repair in the automobile and automotive industry. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and replacement of tires for different types of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tire Installation: Mounting, balancing, and installing tires on vehicles, ensuring accurate fitment and alignment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Tire Repair: Inspecting and assessing tire damage, determining if a repair is possible, and performing necessary repairs such as patching punctures or replacing valve stems.
- Tire Rotation: Executing regular tire rotation procedures to promote even tire wear, improve performance, and extend tire lifespan.
- Wheel Alignment: Assisting in wheel alignment procedures, including adjusting suspension components and steering systems to ensure proper handling and tire longevity.
- Tire Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of tires for signs of wear, damage, or irregularities, and providing recommendations for tire replacements or repairs.
- Tire Maintenance: Monitoring tire pressure and performing routine maintenance tasks such as tire inflation, tread depth measurement, and wheel cleaning.
- Customer Service: Interacting with customers, answering their queries, and providing professional assistance and guidance regarding tire selection, maintenance, and safety.
- Equipment and Tools: Operating and maintaining tire-related equipment and tools, including tire changers, balancers, alignment machines, and air pressure gauges.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of tire services provided, including tire specifications, repairs, replacements, and customer information.
Desired Candidate Profile
Eligibility: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience as a Tire Technician or in a similar automotive role is preferred. Valid driver's license is an advantage. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy tires and equipment. Flexibility to work on weekends or in shifts, if required. Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of tire types, sizes, brands, and industry standards. Familiarity with tire installation and repair techniques. Proficient in using tire-related equipment and tools. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic or any other language is an advantage. #J-18808-LjbffrApply safely
