This position will oversee the successful relocation of the company’s current warehouse, establish and manage a new state-of-the-art warehouse, and ensure all logistics planning for the upcoming greenfield plant and warehouse project. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that the entire logistics, warehousing, and distribution network is optimized, adhering to Eaton's global standards, industry best practices, and Eaton's compliance requirements. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing cross-functional teams and ensuring operational excellence during this transformative phase.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the entire process of relocating the current warehouse, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Establish and optimize processes in the new warehouse facility, ensuring efficiency in layout design, material handling, storage systems, and inventory management.
- Oversee all logistics and supply chain planning for the greenfield plant and warehouse, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Design and implement comprehensive logistics strategies for the new plant, including inbound and outbound logistics, material flow, and supplier coordination.
- Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with local and international regulations, environmental standards, and industry certifications.
- Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions during the plant and warehouse establishment phases.
- Ensure all logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations are aligned with global best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, production, and external partners to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports to executive management on project status, key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in warehousing, logistics, and distribution including packaging to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- In conjunction with Global Procurement & Operations team provides thorough Global standardised monthly transportation metrics based on service, savings and economics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic operations management within logistics, warehousing, and distribution, preferably in a regional or a global environment.
Skills:
- Proven experience in successfully managing large-scale warehouse relocations, greenfield projects, and logistics planning.
- Strong knowledge of global logistics standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team work in a complex, multi-cultural environment.
