As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot and cold dishes, following established recipes and kitchen procedures.
Support the kitchen staff in the daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including all equipment, tools, and work areas.
Assist in the plating and garnishing of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s presentation standards.
Observe and assist with food safety, sanitation standards, and health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Help prepare ingredients for cooking and assist with food prep tasks, including chopping, slicing, and mixing.
Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low.
Learn and execute basic cooking techniques and methods under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Participate in kitchen team meetings and provide feedback on processes or improvements for efficiency.
Collaborate with the team to provide excellent service and support during peak service times.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

Current enrollment in a Culinary Arts program or equivalent.
A strong passion for cooking and food preparation, with a desire to learn in a professional kitchen setting.
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety regulations.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Flexible and willing to take on various kitchen tasks as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
Prior experience in a kitchen setting is a plus but not required.
