Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist

Job Title : IT Administrator & Infrastructure Specialist (Microsoft 365) Location : Work from Office role in BTM 2nd Stage, Bangalore. Job Type : Full-Time Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator with a strong background in managing Microsoft 365 environments and supporting infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT administration, particularly with Microsoft 365 services, and possess advanced knowledge of infrastructure management. This role involves maintaining, optimizing, and securing our cloud-based Microsoft 365 environment, while ensuring the smooth operation of other IT infrastructure systems. Key Responsibilities :

• Microsoft 365 Administration :

Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Platform. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 tenants and user accounts. Implement security best practices for Microsoft 365 services, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and role-based access control (RBAC). Perform migrations and upgrades from legacy systems to Microsoft 365. Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and capacity.

• Infrastructure Management :

Oversee and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure (servers, network, storage, backup, etc.). Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft 365 with on-premises Active Directory (AD) and other systems. Administer and manage virtual environments, including VMware or Hyper-V, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery. Implement and manage network and hardware solutions to ensure business continuity.

• Security & Compliance :

Conduct regular security audits, ensuring systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Implement and maintain endpoint security, patch management, and anti-virus software across devices. Configure and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies in Microsoft 365 and other security measures.

• Troubleshooting & Support :

Provide level 2 and 3 support for Microsoft 365 and infrastructure-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve network, system, and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Liaise with vendors for hardware, software, and service issues.

• Documentation & Reporting :

Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and configurations. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and user activity.

• Project Management :

Lead or participate in infrastructure-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements. Collaborate with other teams to ensure proper deployment of IT services and solutions. Required Skills and Experience :

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration, focusing on Microsoft 365 and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Automate.
• Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, etc.) and troubleshooting network issues.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for Microsoft 365 and system administration tasks.
• In-depth understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including data protection, encryption, and user access control.
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
