We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cigar Sommelier to join our team and elevate the cigar experience for our esteemed guests. A Cigar Sommelier is responsible for ensuring a smooth running of service in the Cigar Lounge and focusing on delivering the maximum members and guests’ satisfaction, while taking care that the Club’s highest standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.
What You Will Do
- Ensure the cigar list is up to date at all times with correct vintages and prices.
- Ensure mise-en-place and correct stock levels are in place before each service and cigars are kept and stored according to standards.
- Pair and suggest cigars and wines that will complement the menu items for guests.
- Assist members and guests with their cigar selection while providing friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- Ensure cleaning check lists are adhered to and humidors are kept clean and organized at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
- Internationally recognized professional certification.
- Excellent level of English.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
- Excellent team management, communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
