About our client This is a unique opportunity to be the face of a venture debt fund in Riyadh as a Director/Partner level hire, focusing on expansion in the Saudi market. With a proven track record in venture debt, the firm has sanctioned over a billion dollars to date. What the job involves
- Help secure and deploy venture debt investments across the Saudi market, leveraging local and international relationships.
- Work closely with the existing global team, with plans to expand and build a dedicated team in Riyadh.
- Play a critical role in sourcing and managing deals within the ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on deploying out of their venture debt fund.
- Engage with high-profile venture capital and private equity relationships to assist with fundraising efforts, while cherry-picking investments from top-performing companies.
- Oversee the firm's ongoing investments, ensuring high returns, and contributing to long-term strategic initiatives.
- A senior-level candidate with a strong background in venture debt/private credit and investment ecosystems within Saudi Arabia.
- Proven experience in sourcing and managing deals, particularly within venture debt or similar financial services.
- Local Saudi market expertise is essential.
- Technical skills in investment management and deal execution are critical, though personality fit and relationship-building capabilities are key hiring criteria.
- This role will not initially involve leading a team, but the candidate will have the opportunity to build out a team in the region over time.
