The Role: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all the daily operations of our UCO and Biodiesel collection entity in Singapore. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the different stakeholders and develop new business opportunities with top specialists in this biofuel industry. Role Summary: Operational Management Driver Scheduling and Coordination : Plan and manage daily/weekly driver schedules to ensure efficient UCO collection and delivery operations. Monitor drivers’ performance, routes, and adherence to safety protocols. Resolve logistical issues such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or emergency replacements. Inventory Control: Supervise incoming and outgoing UCO inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and stock levels. Maintain inventory turnover to meet operational and customer demands without overstocking or wastage. Implement procedures for proper storage and quality assurance of collected UCO. Procurement and Pricing: Monitor market trends to determine competitive buying prices for UCO while ensuring profitability. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality raw materials at optimal prices. Regularly review and adjust pricing strategies based on market changes and HQ guidance. Administrative Oversight: Reporting to HQ: Submit detailed weekly/monthly reports on operational performance, financial metrics, and inventory levels to HQ. Highlight key challenges, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for process improvement. Documentation and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of administrative reports, invoices, and compliance documents. Ensure adherence to local regulations and company policies regarding UCO collection, storage, and distribution. Leadership and Team Management: Team Supervision: Manage and mentor the warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative team to meet operational goals. Conduct regular team meetings to review objectives, address issues, and motivate staff. Training and Development: Ensure drivers and staff receive proper training on UCO collection, sensory assessments, safety procedures, and equipment handling. Promote continuous improvement by identifying and addressing skill gaps within the team. Quality and Safety Standards: Operational Safety: Implement and enforce safety procedures for the warehouse and during UCO collection/delivery. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and drills to mitigate risks. Quality Control: Monitor UCO quality using sensory assessments (visual checks, smell tests) and other standard evaluation methods. Address any issues with contaminated or mixed products promptly to minimize losses. Stakeholder Engagement: Supplier and Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and clients. Address concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Coordination with HQ: Serve as the primary liaison between the warehouse and HQ for all operational matters. Align warehouse goals and practices with corporate strategies and objectives. Financial Management: Cost Efficiency: Monitor operational expenses, optimize routes for fuel efficiency, and reduce waste to control costs. Propose budgets and forecasts for operational activities to HQ. Revenue Growth: Explore opportunities to increase profitability, such as acquiring new customers or expanding collection territories. Job Requirements: Minimum a Diploma or Degree in any discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations. Experience in liquid commodity inventory is a plus. Able to start work on a very short notice is highly advantageous. Comfortable to be based in Tuas office for 1 to 2 days and 3 days in our HQ located in the central region.
