Southeast Asia-based Newsletter Writer/Columnist (Contract)

Southeast Asia-based Newsletter Writer/Columnist (Contract) Foreign Policy is looking for a writer for a new weekly newsletter on Southeast Asia, modeled on FP’s other regional newsletters that cover politics, economics, and culture. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of reporting from around Southeast Asia and display an ability to weave together major trends from across the region in a smart and engaging weekly digest. This is a part-time contract position with competitive pay. Requirements: This role is best suited to an experienced freelance writer, editor, thinktanker, or commentator who will use FP’s global platform to cultivate a weekly readership spanning not only policymakers, investors, and academics, as well as people generally interested in Southeast Asian affairs and geopolitics. Candidates should be based in, or spend a lot of time in, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam.
