Job Title: General Manager – Schools, Non Profit Organization Location: Dubai Job Purpose: The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction of 9 schools following the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum. The role requires strong leadership to manage over 8,000 students, ensure compliance with government regulations, enhance educational offerings, and oversee all aspects of administration, human resources, supplier management, IT, and extracurricular activities. The General Manager will also be the primary liaison for government relations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and child safeguarding policies. Key Responsibilities: Educational and Strategic Leadership:

  • Ensure the effective implementation of the MOE curriculum across all schools.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives of the schools.
  • Oversee the management of extracurricular programs to support student development.
Operational and Facilities Management:
  • Oversee facilities management, ensuring that all school premises are well-maintained and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Act as the Incident Commander in case of evacuations or emergency situations.
  • Oversee purchasing, stores, and contract management for suppliers.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) for all schools equipment.
Government Relations and Compliance:
  • Maintain strong relationships with government authorities and ensure all schools comply with relevant regulations.
  • Handle all matters related to licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to child safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations.
Human Resources and Administration:
  • Lead and manage human resources, ensuring staff engagement, professional development, and retention.
  • Oversee manpower planning and recruitment to ensure efficient staffing across all schools.
  • Supervise office administration and front-of-house management.
Financial and Budgetary Management:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for all schools, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions and financial controls for operational efficiency.
Transportation and Safety:
  • Ensure effective and safe transportation planning for students
  • Oversee the management of transportation
  • Implement policies and procedures to enhance student and staff safety
Event and Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of school extra curriculum activities, events, initiatives, and special projects.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments for project success.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Ph.D. in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in school management, educational leadership, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ministry of Education curriculum and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple schools and large student populations.
  • Expertise in facilities management, supplier negotiations, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and contract management.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding, health, and safety protocols.
