Position Title: Resident Medical Officer No. of Positions : 3 Location: Livasa Hospital, Khanna Department: Clinical services Reports to: Deputy Medical Superintendent / Medical Superintendent Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our esteemed team at Livasa Hospital, Khanna a leading super-specialty healthcare provider. As a key member of our clinical team, the RMO will provide high-quality medical care to patients across various specialties, under the supervision of senior consultants. The RMO will be responsible for daily patient management, performing medical procedures, assisting with diagnoses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospital environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide medical care to patients, including performing initial assessments, taking medical histories, and conducting physical examinations.
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor patients for a variety of acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with senior consultants.
- Provide timely and appropriate medical interventions, including medication administration, wound care, and other clinical treatments as required.
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations, including vital signs, lab results, and changes in patient conditions.
- Clinical Procedures:
- Assist consultants in performing medical procedures, such as minor surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and biopsies, as per the departments requirements.
- Perform routine procedures (e.g., inserting IV lines, catheterization, suturing, etc.) under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Emergency Management:
- Provide immediate medical attention to patients in emergency situations, including performing basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) as needed.
- Respond to code blue situations, assisting in resuscitation efforts and stabilizing critically ill patients.
- Patient Documentation:
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Update patient charts with clinical notes, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Ensure all relevant medical data, including test results and treatment histories, are accurately recorded and communicated to relevant departments.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with attending consultants, specialists, and other healthcare team members to create and execute individualized care plans for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Provide regular updates to senior consultants regarding patient progress and concerns.
- Rounds & Shift Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily patient rounds with senior consultants and specialists, contributing to the decision-making process.
- Manage patient care during shifts, ensuring timely updates, appropriate interventions, and continuous monitoring of patient conditions.
- Be on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the hospitals duty roster.
- Clinical Education & Research:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical research, treatment protocols, and emerging healthcare technologies.
- Attend departmental meetings, medical training sessions, and relevant educational workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, if required.
- Education:
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent degree from a recognized medical college.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months - 2 years of clinical experience as an RMO, or during internship rotations in a hospital setting.
- Experience in a super-specialty or tertiary care hospital is preferred but not essential.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of medical conditions.
- Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures and assisting in advanced procedures under supervision.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially in high-stress environments like the ICU, emergency department, and during night shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
