Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Civil) Nationality: Any Nationality Vacancy: 1 Vacancy Job Description Job Summary: The Planning Director is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects and execution of several high-profile projects by ensuring quality, legal aspects, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of projects. This position drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals of the organization. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and oversee an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function.
  2. Manage planning works in multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Review and recommend development proposals for compliance with various developmental regulations and principles and practices.
  4. Work closely with project teams and service providers to ensure full integration and efficient use of resources to meet requirements.
  5. Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery of key milestones and deliverables.
  6. Determine the strategies and plans to be used in the planning department in order to deliver the most efficient result by investigating the latest trends in the field of planning and implementing appropriate best practices in the organization.
  7. Provide strategic project management input of the planning project including financial management.
  8. Ensure proper coordination and communication with the Top Management and the whole organization.
  9. Review and approve all reports in compliance with the standards and to improve continuously to make the organization a learning performance organization.
  10. Work closely with project management teams to ensure timely activities, high-quality incorporation, and efficient use of resources to meet requirements.
  11. Analyze operations needs and develop programs to meet these needs in accordance with established organization policies and available resources.
  12. Lead quantitative and qualitative analytic work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision-making on key business issues.
  13. Provide management and project teams with schedule reports on project status and escalate issues as necessary on a weekly and monthly basis.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
  1. Knowledge in Principles of Planning and Project Management.
  2. Knowledge in Construction Law, Change Management, and principles and practices of research and data.
  3. Knowledge of Safety, Quality, and Cost Objectives.
  4. Advanced knowledge of project planning software like MS Projects or Primavera.
  5. Strong cost control knowledge and knowledge in preparation of EOT claims and delay analysis.
  6. Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
  7. Familiar with local and international standards in construction.
  8. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Desired Candidate Profile: Job Experience: Minimum 10 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus. Education:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering.
  2. Professional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) or PMP.
