The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing and maintaining electrical systems and components to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. This role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, and collaborating with various departments to support the overall operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

Designing electrical systems and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Developing electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings, sizing, BOM and BOQ for electrical equipment installations.
Troubleshooting electrical issues in systems, machinery, and control systems to ensure optimal operation.
Conducting electrical testing and inspections to diagnose issues and ensure system integrity.
Installing electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and control systems.
Monitoring the performance of electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Performing regular maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems to prevent equipment downtime and enhance reliability.
Collaborating with mechanical, civil, and other engineering teams to design and implement electrical solutions.
Ensuring that all electrical designs and installations comply with local and international electrical codes and regulations.
Overseeing the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
Preparing technical reports, project documentation, and maintenance records for reference and regulatory compliance.
Developing and implementing energy-efficient solutions to reduce power consumption and costs.
Providing technical support and guidance to other departments regarding electrical system requirements and troubleshooting.
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and best practices when handling electrical systems and equipment.
Performing any additional tasks related to the job title as required.

Skills

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and control systems.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in electrical designs, installations, and troubleshooting.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work with other engineers and departments to achieve project goals.
Reporting & Documentation: Strong skills in preparing technical reports, electrical designs, and maintaining documentation.
Ability to Learn: Willingness to quickly adapt to new equipment, technologies, and procedures.

Education/Qualification/ Certification and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as AutoCAD or similar.
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in maintaining electrical systems.
Experience in the oil and gas, manufacturing, or power industries is a plus.
Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
