We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Bid Specialist to join our team. This role supports the Bidding Lead in managing and coordinating bid responses, enhancing our work-winning capabilities, and driving growth in the Middle East. Your key duties Bid Management
- Lead and coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality bid responses for engineering projects.
- Ensure all bids follow the Bid No Bid process.
- Review bid documentation to identify key requirements, deadlines, win themes, and raise potential issues.
- Inform the Commercial and Legal Team (CLT) where necessary to ensure contractual/legislative requirements are met.
- Organize and lead Bid Kick-Off meetings for significant bids to agree on commitment to bid, capture bid themes, arrange the program, and identify key team members and case study projects.
- Review input from technical teams against bid criteria, highlighting any potential gaps in information, and ensuring a tailored and focused response.
- Create additional bespoke content for submissions by interviewing technical team members to capture the right story.
- Ensure all submissions are well-written, compliant with client requirements, and in line with agreed themes, the company brand, and corporate message. Challenge any content that falls short of the expected standard.
- Design and collate submission documents, ensuring accuracy, proof-reading, and spell-checking, and communicate additional graphic requirements with the Graphic Design team.
- Assist in developing others by working with technical and non-technical staff on managing bids effectively and guiding them through the process.
- Identify leads, opportunities, and bids for the business working with the BD team to maintain the pipeline.
- Ensure the progress of all bids is accurately recorded on our CRM system.
- Organise and contribute to or lead bid touchdown meetings.
- Create, capture, and share model answers and refined project descriptions.
- Collate, share, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from bid feedback.
- Attend team meetings to gain progress updates, maintain communication, and ensure submission best practices.
- Monitor bid feedback, analyse win/loss results, and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Ensure the CRM is continuously updated and accurately reflects our current information.
- Liaise with project operations and finance teams to ensure accurate information is distributed.
- Be aware of the rates to check for accurate inclusion in bids.
- Assist with data cleansing activities for monthly management reports.
- Become one of the CRM champions for the business unit to aid accurate reporting.
- Assist with pipeline reporting.
- Assist with sector and market reports as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant relevant experience in business development, bid management, or a similar role within the design, engineering, architecture, or project management field.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent understanding/network within the design/engineering/architecture/project management sector.
- Arabic speaking and writing skills are desirable.
- Excellent communicator at all levels of seniority.
- Able to problem-solve and think on your feet.
- Works well under pressure, calm and level-headed.
