Business Analyst & Risk Reporting Associate SMP

***Clarification on SMP Contract: It is a Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract. ROLE OVERVIEW NEOM is building up an energy system that is based on 100% renewable energy generation provided mainly by PPAs and on supplies of green energy to industrial customers, SMEs and residential customers. In order to ramp up the system (generation and demand portfolio) in a balanced way, NEOM will manage the commodity portfolio in one central function, the Portfolio Management department where most of the relevant commodity and counterparty risks will be monitored. NEOM Energy is looking for an "Associate" to perform day-to-day portfolio and counter-parties and produce relevant risk reports. Activities will be related to building up a dedicated risk management governance, translating the governance into operational KPIs, and optimizing the risk/return ratio of NEOM’s portfolio management based on NEOM’s minimum LCOE-approach in line with NEOM risk appetite. REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY The Business Analyst & Risk Reporting Associate SMP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Key Accountabilities
  1. Design, develop and generate deal lifecycle reports for peers and management.
  2. Steer the commercial software landscape implementation, namely ION Openlink Endur.
  3. Support identification and analysis of types of commercial contracts and deals.
  4. Collaborate with workstream leads and business stakeholders to identify and document requirements along the contract lifecycle.
  5. Design, depict, and describe detailed commercial processes along the lifecycle of all types of contracts/deals (i.e. conclusion, invoicing and payment, billing/settlement, risk management, etc.).
  6. Analyze fit-gap of existing processes and update/adjust to new processes as needed.
  7. Test and iterate process designs with relevant stakeholders to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
  8. Work with workstream leads and business stakeholders to analyze and validate the required teams, functions, and skills to run the processes and platform.
  9. Support implementation of a company-wide end-to-end deal lifecycle processes.
  10. Support identification of systems (platform) to manage the designed deal lifecycle processes.
  11. Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for process, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  12. Ensure high-quality documentation and archiving of all requirements and processes.
  13. Capture and report the evolving business requirements and related risks from a system perspective.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience The potential candidate must have a delivery track record, be highly motivated, and be a leading expert responsible for the requirement analysis and process design of the commercial processes, including (but not limited to) the following key requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM), with at least 3 years of experience in ION Openlink Endur (must have advanced knowledge).
  2. Experience in various areas of CTRM system: implementation, L2, L3 support, requirement collection, and change management, etc.
  3. Experience with requirements analysis and management, ability to translate business needs into requirements.
  4. Experience with (business) process design, modeling, tools, and techniques, particularly gathered into Energy Utilities or Commodity Trading Functions.
  5. Excellent speaking, writing, communicating, and presenting skills.
  6. Advanced level skills in MS Excel (including macros and VB skills), Database, MS Power BI, VBA or other programming skills is an advantage.
  7. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent time management skills, ability to meet complex and time-sensitive deadlines.
  9. Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  10. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  11. Business and Digital acumen.
  12. Knowledge of the Utilities domain.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with Business/Economics/IT orientation or any relevant qualification.
