Position Overview: The Purchase Manager will oversee the procurement process, ensuring that the hypermarket consistently has the right products at competitive prices. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand inventory needs, negotiating with suppliers, and managing purchasing budgets. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in supply chain management, particularly within the retail sector in the GCC and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  2. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  3. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  4. Collaborate with department heads to forecast inventory needs and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality, compliance, and reliability.
  7. Evaluate new suppliers and assist in qualifying them for future contracts.
  8. Prepare purchasing reports and forecasts for management review.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with a mandatory focus on retail within the GCC and UAE.
  3. Proven experience with contract negotiations and supplier management.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
