Job Description: Salesman – Steel Market Location: UAE Reports To: Sales Manager / Regional Sales Director Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Salesman with a strong background in the steel industry to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, developing client relationships, and expanding market presence within the steel sector. This role requires excellent sales and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the steel market, and the ability to work effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the steel market within the UAE region.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Present and promote the company’s steel products to potential clients through meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitors, and new product offerings within the steel industry.
- Analyze market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly to increase market share.
- Report on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to management.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, issues, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in businesses, construction companies, contractors, and other relevant industries.
- Offer technical advice and guidance to clients regarding steel products, ensuring their specific needs are met.
- Sales Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions in CRM systems.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates to the Sales Manager.
- Ensure all contracts, orders, and customer agreements are documented correctly and comply with company policies.
- Product Knowledge & Training:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s steel products and services.
- Act as a product expert and educate clients about the benefits and features of different types of steel products.
- Attend relevant training sessions and industry events to stay current with the latest advancements in the steel market.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales within the steel industry or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE’s steel market, including key players, trends, and customer segments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Background in engineering, construction, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Existing network within the steel, construction, or industrial sectors in the UAE.
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus, but not required.
- Valid UAE driver’s license and the ability to travel as required.
