Job Summary: The Credit Control Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the credit granting process and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and working closely with customers to negotiate payment terms. Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and approve credit applications and establish credit limits.
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
Conduct credit checks and assess the creditworthiness of potential customers.
Resolve customer billing issues and negotiate payment plans.
Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions and customer communications.
Prepare regular reports on credit and collection activities for senior management.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth credit operations.
Implement and enforce the company's credit policies and procedures.
Identify and manage potential credit risks.
Assist in the development and improvement of credit control systems.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time management skills.
Customer service orientation.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit control or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
