Job Summary: The Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians in daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective performance in technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians, ensuring their continuous development.
Oversee and perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks on systems, equipment, or machinery.
Ensure all technical work complies with industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
Coordinate and prioritize daily work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all tasks and projects.
Track and report on the team's performance, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Handle complex technical issues that require advanced troubleshooting or decision-making. Escalate unresolved issues to senior management or technical experts as needed.
Maintain proper records of equipment, tools, and parts used for repairs, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, managers, and external vendors, to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in a technical field preferred)
7+ years of experience in a technical or hands-on environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Proficiency in [specific technical skills/equipment relevant to the industry, e.g., electrical systems, IT hardware, HVAC systems]
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
