As a Dental Nurse at our clinic, you'll play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental surgery department. You'll be responsible for assisting dentists during surgeries, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a sterile and organized environment. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our dental services.
Job Description:
1. Surgical Assistance:
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
Prepare and arrange necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for surgeries.
Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
2. Equipment Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance on dental equipment and instruments.
Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel.
Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
3. Patient Care:
Comfort and reassure patients before, during, and after dental procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and assist in emergency situations.
4. Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures and patient information.
Update and organize patient files in compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Collaboration:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and dental staff for seamless patient care.
Communicate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff.
6. Compliance:
Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and guidelines.
7. Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on advancements in dental surgery techniques and technologies.
Attend relevant workshops, training sessions, and conferences.
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Surgery Technician or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and handle high-pressure situations.
