Job Title - Project Manager-Strategic Sourcing Location - Thane, Mumbai POSITION SUMMARY This position has full ownership and responsibility for managing the transition from a regional EMS supplier in China to a supplier in India. The Project Manager will oversee projects from initialization through initial volume production, ensuring they are completed within the approved timeline and budget. The Project Manager with focus to ensure timely delivery of project obligations and procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for the management of the full project life cycle from implementation through to final closure. Ensures that project delivery is within pre-defined acceptance criteria for requested timescales and budgets. Establishes, promotes, and maintains excellent rapport with both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrates strong focus on all project deliverables including forecasting and financial controls. Roles and Responsibilities - PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Key project - Transition from a regional EMS suppliers in China to a suppliers in India.
- Format, organize, track, report, and manage projects within the approved timeline and budget.
- Collaborate with resources assigned tasks across multiple Product Lines and functions.
- Drive deliverables and gate reviews, collaborating extensively with all relevant departments within the organization.
- Develop a committed and approved project plan and execute it within the approved timeline and budget.
- Own the project schedule and manage resources assigned to scheduled tasks.
- Work with functional resource managers to plan work assignments and resource requirements to achieve project targets.
- Produce results from resources at all organizational levels and mitigate issues to prevent project delays.
- Develop and deliver project status reports to the organization, including risk assessments.
- Effective management of projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all project obligations as set out by the business and the client’s expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Accepts full ownership for the project life cycle from implementation through to final closure. Provides assistance as required across the business to ensure successful project delivery.
- Acts as a single point of contact for the external and internal customers.
- preparing project documentation, producing project programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in successfully managing Procurement or Engineering projects in EMS/Electronics.
- Have working experience with China Electronics suppliers.
- Working experience with Indian EMS suppliers are must.
- Experience with Smartsheet and collaboration tools a plus.
- Certified Project Manager is a plus.
- Ability to support meetings and communication with globally dispersed teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to manage details from several diverse teams and keep the teams focused on tasks.
- Ability to forecast completion dates and willingness to meet the dates.
- Excellent organization and time management skills are a must.
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate read Engineering documents in Chinese and efficiently use translation tools is a must.
