How Youll Make An Impact
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with potential and existing suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable conditions.
- Oversee supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with various departments to assess their procurement needs and ensure purchases align with budgetary constraints and organizational policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast future needs, and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive purchasing. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for procurement activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Provide training and support to staff on procurement policies and procedures.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
