The project entails the management of a state-of-the-art VVIP private animal facility operation dedicated to the comprehensive care of a diverse range of animal species (both terrestrial and aquatic, domestic and exotic). The collection begins with ungulates, reptiles, insects, birds, and fish with plans to expand by introducing primates and other mammals in subsequent phases.At WZC, we are renowned for our unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier service and expertise to our clients. Drawing upon our extensive experience and strong affiliations with globally esteemed zoological organizations such as WAZA, AZA, EAZA, and ZAA, we bring unparalleled knowledge and passion to every project.Worldwide Zoo Consultants is seeking a passionate and responsible Assistant Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As an Assistant Animal Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and welfare of our animal residents.ResponsibilitiesAnimal Care Assistance:Assist in the daily care and husbandry of a variety of animal species within our facility.Ensure that all animals receive proper nutrition, enrichment, and medical attention as required.Facility Maintenance:Assist in maintaining clean and safe animal enclosures, exhibits, and related facilities.Work closely with the maintenance and construction teams for enclosure improvements and expansions.Health and Well-being:Monitor and report on animal health, behavior, and environmental conditions.Assist in the implementation of enrichment activities to promote mental and physical stimulation for the animals.Team Support:Work closely with the animal care team to provide support and assistance in various tasks.Participate in training and professional development opportunities.Visitor Engagement:Engage with clients or visitors, providing information about the animals and their conservation needs.Answer questions and contribute to the educational experience of our guests.QualificationsPrevious experience working with animals, preferably in a zoo, sanctuary, or similar environment.A genuine passion for animal care and wildlife conservation.Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols.Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Application ProcessJoin us in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the management and operations of a world-class animal facility in the heart of Saudi Arabia.Please send a one-page cover letter with your resume to recruitment@worldwidezoo.com with the position you are applying for in the subject line.
