About the Job Havas Media Group North America, the Media Experience agency, has an immediate position available for a Manager to join the Communications Strategy Team in Toronto as part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people. Our Strategists deliver market leading insights, communications strategies and innovative ideas that power media experiences. The Manager of Communications Strategy will aid in distilling insights and developing the strategic narrative for clients. You will be charged with establishing communications frameworks, key opportunities across the CDJ, areas for potential innovation as well as appropriate roles for channels—all to address clients’ business challenges. The right candidate will have a blend of nimble creative thinking, data-minded research capabilities and a curiosity mindset to create strategic ways forward for clients. This role is for you if you take initiative, are curious about the "why's" and "how's," and thrive on innovation and disruption. You are a data-driven storyteller with strong writing and narrative skills, detail-oriented, open, flexible, and adaptable. You solve problems across various partners and deliverables, are self-motivated, can multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines, and are highly responsive, organized, and strategically minded. Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior strategy & planning teams to “own the brief” and ensure the business goals and marketing objectives are clear
  • Collaborate with the Audience, Measurement and Analytics team on developing insights that fuel business intelligence
  • Collaborate with Audience & Data Strategists to ensure strategic frameworks are complimentary and integrated with actionable audience architectures
  • Develop & delivers the Media Experience Brief and Strategy based on solid insights
  • Partner with cross-discipline teams to refine strategic opportunities and ensure these pull through across planning, activation, and measurement
  • Contribute to thought leadership research and presentations and provides trend and insight updates as needed
  • Contribute to process documents and ways of working
  • Help to develop materials and structures for client and inter-agency workshops
  • Liaise with client teams to produce the best business outcomes and effective, innovative media plans for local clients
  • Contribute to new business pitches
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 5-6 years professional experience in insights and strategic planning
  • Background knowledge on Media, Brand, Consultancy
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Advertising
  • Languages: English (Intermediate to Fluent)
  • Understanding of paid media and it’s role within the marketing ecosystem
  • Understanding of research tools, digital data and analysis (YouGov, Nielsen, Pathmatics, Vividata, GWI)
  • Technical Skills
  • Previous experience with Audience Insight tools and / or Research tools is a bonus
