Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and innovative AI Engineer to spearhead our efforts in developing cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and vector databases, with hands-on experience in generative AI technologies. Who are we? • Experience in utilizing generative AI models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude) to solve business challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Good understanding of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Open search) for semantic search, embeddings management, and AI applications requiring high-performance similarity matching.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers and data scientists ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for seamless integration of AI solutions with enterprise systems.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and database performance for AI-related applications.
• Drive innovation by exploring new advancements in Generative AI and vector database technology.
• Creating well designed, testable efficient code
• Supporting users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
• Following software development process
• Mentoring junior team members to come up the learning curve, as required

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Python for AI/ML development, including libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Generative AI models and frameworks (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude).
• Experience with REST APIs using API framework, including design, implementation, and integration.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, OpenSearch etc.) and their use in Generative AI applications.
• Strong understanding of foundational AI/ML concepts and techniques.
• Knowledge of ethical AI practices and compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Proven experience working on SaaS platforms, with a deep understanding of cloud-based architecture and services.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience driving Agile transformations.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in the Insurtech or Fintech domain.
• Knowledge of policy administration systems or insurance industry workflows.
