Brights Hardware was founded in 1971 by Mr. and Mrs. Luis as a General Dealer specializing in electrical contracting and repairs. Through the years, the business has grown into a multi-faceted outlet for all one's building material and hardware needs.

Since opening the first warehouse in Stikland, Cape Town in 1995, Brights has expanded considerably with the first franchisee store in Plattekloof in 2006 and a store in Blackheath in 2009. In this same year, Northern Trusses was incorporated into the Brights Group, and renamed to Brights Trusses.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that the actual item/s purchased corresponds with the customers receipt ensuring that the correct goods leave the premises

Ensure that the item purchased is correctly scanned

Keep record of inter branch sales

Greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the store

Monitor checkout stations (and self-service in stores with this feature) for cashier performance and needs by superior

Avoid duplications of to follow items

Participate in perpetual stocktakes

Ensure housekeeping of work area according to company standards

Perform any work related tasks as delegated by Superior

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric or Equivalent

Grade C in security (advantage)

2 years previous experience in a similar role

Ability to take on responsibility, be diligent & handle pressure

Ability to work independently as well as in team

Perform duties in an effective and efficient manner

Product and department knowledge

Interpersonal skills

Good customer skills
