Civil and Structural Engineer

The client is a Saudi Arabia based services company and is looking to hire a Civil and Structural Engineer for their team to work remotely and deliver on assignments. Work Location : Remote Education : Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering Experience : 5-8 years Skill Set : 1) Proven experience in design management and team leadership 2) Strong project management skills 3)-Expertise in design principles and processes Responsibilities : 1. Ensure designs adhere to Saudi Building Code (SBC), as well as international codes such as ACI (American Concrete Institute), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), and Eurocodes. Incorporate Saudi-specific regulations for seismic design, environmental considerations, and load-bearing structures. Familiarity with Aramco, Royal Commission, and SEC specifications for industrial, commercial, and public infrastructure projects. 2. Design structural components (e.g., beams, columns, slabs, foundations) for buildings, bridges, towers, and other infrastructure projects. Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength, stability, and durability of structures, using design tools like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or Revit. Design for seismic, wind, and load conditions in accordance with local environmental challenges (e.g., windstorms, sandstorms, earthquakes). 3. Ensure designs account for Saudi soil types, such as desert conditions, and mitigate issues like soil subsidence and liquefaction. Perform load analysis for different structural elements (dead loads, live loads, wind loads, seismic forces) to guarantee the safety and serviceability of the structure. Ensure designs provide fire resistance and blast protection where necessary, especially for industrial and oil-related infrastructure (e.g., Aramco standards). 4. Select appropriate construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, composite) based on project requirements and environmental conditions.
