We have an opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our Food Safety & Quality team. As Technical Co-ordinator, you will ensure that potential brand and consumer risks are managed for all operational activities. You will be responsible for aligning the Musgrave technical policy requirements to food safety legislative requirements and ensuring that the customer and industry food safety standards are met. Key responsibilities: Management and Resolution of all Food / Non-Food Branded and Own Brand Complaints originating in Musgrave Wholesale (NI & ROI) Complaint Management Monitor and Report Complaint Performance & Trend Reporting Improvement to Complaints Handling Processes Co-ordinate product recall of ambient, chilled, frozen products distributed by MWP. Co-ordinating Communications plan for National & Key Accounts and reconciling stocks with Supplier and Trading. Manage Recall Protocol with regulatory authorities (FSAI, FSA & Environmental Health) Technical support in the investigation and resolution of Customer HACCP compliance queries Respond to customer request for product and operational compliance information. Quality checks on Own Brand products to agreed sampling plan against Quality Assessment Specifications, and effective closure of non-conformances with suppliers Project Work Work on required projects with the Quality Team to improve and drive the Quality initiatives within the business. Representing the Quality Department on teams across the business, to influence on Quality issues. The successful candidate will have / be: Food Science / Food Technology Degree, or equivalent 2-3 years in Food Technical role, ideally with Chill / Freeze products Strong technical food functionality knowledge Proven track record in managing food safety and compliance in a retail / manufacturing environment Working knowledge of HACCP planning and its application Complaint management experience Flexibility Strong time management and prioritisation skills Good Communication skills with internal teams, suppliers and customers Problem Solver identify risks and initiate solutions. As part of this role, the Technical Coordinator will be required to assess products for physical attributes, appearance, taste/flavour, texture and odour. These products may include but not limited to meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, ready meals, pizza, bakery, dairy, juices, confectionary, cereals, salads, hot & cold beverages, canned products, soups, pasta & rice, oils, condiments, nuts & seeds, crisps & snacks, baby food, home baking products.
