Job Description
- Safely transport students to and from school and related activities, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance driving skills and stay updated on safety protocols.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring the safety of all passengers at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, fostering a comfortable environment for students.
- Manage student behavior effectively, enforcing safety rules and promoting a respectful atmosphere during transit.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and school officials regarding schedules, delays, and other important information.
- Accurately document daily routes, student counts, and any incidents or disruptions during the journey.
- Assist students with boarding and disembarking, especially those with disabilities or special needs.
- Stay informed about local traffic laws and regulations, ensuring compliance while driving.
