We are currently seeking a Full Time Business Development Manager to to join our team in Ontario! The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategic initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to expand market share and achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will strategically plan their approach to clients and offer compelling solutions to cater for client's needs. They are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships in order to meet sales goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the electronic security sector, focusing on security systems installations and services. Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, key influencers, and industry partners.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Spend a significant portion of time in the field prospecting, quoting, and closing new business deals.
  • Client Engagement: Deliver presentations to clients, showcasing specific services and product offerings. Ensure best-in-class customer service by assisting with client liaison and follow-up as required.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and inform strategic planning. Maintain and expand relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders across the company in the development of business and growth strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in the electronic security industry, with a focus on business development and sales. Proven track record within a security integration business and the ability to develop BOMs, costings, and quotations for installation projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of security solutions, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Ability to manage complex design and quotation processes.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field; tertiary qualifications in electrical or electronics engineering are preferred. Knowledge of designing systems such as ICT, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec, Salto, and C-CURE are advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Licenses: Must hold a valid driver's license
  • This role requires a proactive individual with a 'can-do' attitude, capable of delivering excellent customer outcomes and demonstrating a high level of computer literacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the commercial security industry and a proven ability to drive business growth.
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000
