Finance Transformation Integration Manager

This position will play a pivotal role in initiating and delivering the early phases of our client's Finance Transformation roadmap, aimed at enhancing efficiency, leveraging technology, and driving value creation across the finance function. This role will guide the Finance Transformation team and serve as project manager, collaborating with stakeholders across finance, IT, and the business. This temporary assignment until the end of the year, with a clear focus on building a strong foundation for long-term success. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver key milestones by executing Phase 1 of the Finance Transformation roadmap, including process optimization and technology implementation.
- Achieve measurable outcomes such as a 20-30% reduction in month-end close time, 10-15% reduction in cost to serve and the automation of 50% of manual processes.
- Partner with the CFO, Finance Leadership, IT leadership, and business leaders to align transformation initiatives with broader enterprise objectives.
- Engage cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and alignment on priorities.
- Assess current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design and implement streamlined, scalable finance processes to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with IT to deploy automation tools (e.g., RPA) and enhance SAP systems in conjunction with the SAP modernization efforts.
- Build analytics capabilities for improved decision-making and reporting.
- Establish KPIs and regularly report progress to leadership, ensuring accountability and transparency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Proven ability to lead finance transformation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Background in finance operations, project management, or transformation roles
- Experience with business process outsourcing a plus
- Knowledge of ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA), FPA / Consolidation platforms (e.g.
- OneStream), RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism)
- Familiarity with advanced analytics platforms and process optimization methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving priorities.
- Analytical thinker with a track record of delivering creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Passionate about driving organizational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Up to 20% travel. Likely locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Calgary, Alberta and Sarnia, Ontario
- Candidate must be eligible to travel easily between Canada and the United States
- This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary work location either in Calgary or Sarnia on Tuesdays through Thursdays
