The project: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure. Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project. Responsibilities:

Assuring the assessment, management and mitigation of risk in accordance with regulation and business standards.
Drives change through communication, persuasion, engagement and innovation.
Supports the integration of the operational HSW job family into an efficient, effective and cohesive team.
Monitors and reports on performance, provides advice, guidance and expertise as needed.
Translates business strategy and objectives into local business plan(s).
Collaborates with operational directors to deliver cost-effective and efficient performance.
Develops and delivers agreed local business plan(s) to time, quality and budget.
Supporting succession planning and career development activities for team(s).
Collaborates with the assurance function in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
Engages and influences identified business and industry stakeholders.
Ensure timely and effective escalation of non-compliance issues they are unable to influence or achieve a satisfactory conclusion to. Manages a large team (or several teams) of direct reports, driving the appropriate behaviours to achieve success and key performance indicators (KPIs), including a continuous improvement culture.
Provides performance management, technical and career development and coaching.

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree.
A professional HS&E qualification, i.e., NEBOSH IGC or diploma. Or other HS&E diploma recognised by Saudi Council of Engineers.
Relevant HS&E training certificates.
Awareness of KSA laws.
Certified First Aider.
HSW, legislation and delivery relevant to the sector and industry.
Implementation and development of management systems and the certification process.
Assurance and audit strategies.
Risk management and mitigation work in a major organisation.
Assessing the competency of team members, applying their competence to the right roles, and creating development plans.
Understanding of enterprise and project risk management.
Being able to present a range of technical information to non-technical audiences.
Proven experience leading and managing health, safety and wellbeing in a large complex organisation and achieving key results.
Advanced knowledge and application of relevant legislation.
