This role begins as an individual contributor position focused on implementing and managing the Shopify storefront and the corporate website. As the business grows, the responsibilities will expand to include application architecture, budget management, and overseeing both contractors and full-time employees. Key Responsibilities:

• E-commerce platform and global websites supporting North American user base.

• Design. Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps and integrate third-party solutions using APIs, Webhooks, and platforms like ERPs, CRMs, and payment gateways.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with themes, apps, or integrations
• Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js or Vue.js
• Design and develop high-converting landing pages tailored to marketing campaigns and promotions
• Ensure all pages are designed with a mobile-first approach and responsive, optimized for performance, and integrated with analytics tools.

• Implement SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and mobile-first design principles.
• Conduct regular site audits to identify performance issues and bottlenecks
• Optimize checkout processes, upsells, cross-sells, and subscription models to increase conversions and AOV
• Leverage Shopify Plus features like Shopify Scripts and Flow for dynamic workflows and pricing rules
• Support global commerce through multi-language and multi-currency solutions

• Ensure browser and device compatibility for all customizations
• Establish and maintain rigorous testing protocols, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
• Regularly document testing procedures and results for reference and compliance

• Translate wireframes and concepts into user-friendly interfaces in collaboration with designers.
• Ensure brand consistency across all design and functionality elements
• Develop personalized and interactive features to enhance customer engagement
• Prioritize accessibility compliance to provide inclusive shopping experiences

• Optimize mobile checkout flows for improved conversion rates
• Stay updated on mobile commerce trends to deliver cutting-edge solutions
• Implement mobile-first design principles to ensure seamless shopping experiences

• Automate tasks like inventory syncing, customer communication, and order processing using Shopify Flow or custom scripts
• Implement scalable solutions for multi-channel commerce, including social and marketplace integration
• Seamlessly integrate Shopify with backend systems and marketing platform

• Use tools like Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics to monitor performance and user behavior.
• Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate updates' impacts on KPIs
• Provide actionable insights for improving product visibility, customer retention, and revenue growth

• Propose and implement innovative features, including AI-driven recommendations and voice-commerce tools.
• Pilot new technologies to maintain platform competitiveness
• Stay updated on Shopify updates, emerging technologies, and e-commerce trends

• Ensure compliance with global regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS)
• Implement security best practices, including regular updates, backups, and vulnerability assessments
• Develop contingency plans for data breaches, downtime, or system failures

• Provide mentorship and training to junior developers and other team members.
• Bridge technical and non-technical teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows, processes, and implementation.s
• Partner with marketing, design, and operations teams to align technical development with strategic goals

• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable development experience with Shopify Liquid, Shopify platform, and Shopify Plus
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React.js or Vue.js
• Experience with Shopify app development, third-party integrations, and APIs
• Strong experience in integrating and managing industry-leading Shopify plug-ins, i.e., Klaviyo, Okendo, Yotpo, Recharge, Rebuy, Mailchimp, etc
• Expertise with page builders, i.e., Shogun, PageFly, GemPages, etc.
• Strong knowledge of eCommerce SEO, performance optimization, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, VWO)
• Expertise with Shopify Scripts, Flow, and all advanced Shopify Plus features
• Proficiency in version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience in website development tools like WordPress and their accelerators

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in front-end technologies with 5 years in Shopify development, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Exposure to Adobe Commerce (Magento), Sales Force Commerce Cloud, or competing platformsis a plus
• Demonstrated track record with a portfolio of successful Shopify Plus implementations and operational support
• Familiarity with global commerce requirements (multi-currency, multi-language)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience with headless commerce or progressive web apps (PWAs)
• Knowledge of AI-driven personalization and recommendation systems
• Experience integrating advanced tools like ERPs, CRMs, and marketing automation systems
• Certifications in Shopify development or related technologies
• Strong Project Management Skills
