Job Summary PwC's Accounting Advisory business unit provides clients with practical solutions to accounting and financial reporting challenges. The team of experts advises clients on a range of complex accounting issues, including implementing new accounting standards, accounting for business transactions, and providing support on regulatory compliance. The unit helps clients navigate through complex accounting requirements by providing in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards. The team works closely with clients to help them make informed business decisions and optimize their financial performance. PwC's Accounting Advisory professionals possess a combination of technical accounting skills, business acumen, and industry knowledge, making them trusted advisors to clients across a range of industries. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day management of consulting projects, ensuring client expectations are met, projects are delivered on time, and within budget. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Support the planning, budgeting, resource management, and quality control of client and internal projects. Stay informed on current economic and regulatory developments in the financial services sector, and leverage technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of our service offerings.
  • Provide technical expertise on accounting matters and financial reporting, including the IFRS 9 and the implementation of other IFRS standards. Lead specialized accounting advisory projects, including support for complex transactions, financial instruments and treasury activities.
  • Strong IFRS 9 implementation experience including ECL modeling, classification and measurement, hedging and loan structuring.
  • Lead market and brand development efforts, including the identification of business opportunities, preparing pitches, and contributing to proposals. Build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new service offerings in the accounting advisory space.
  • Build presence in the marketplace, network and build relationships, and identify opportunities for work; from lead identification to the presentation of pitches and proposals.
  • Proven track record of identifying and converting opportunities into awarded engagements.
  • Regularly review the performance of projects against preset objectives and milestones, ensuring that quality control processes are in place. Identify lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Provide training on IFRS and other relevant topics to clients and PwC staff, helping to develop the internal competency of the team while enhancing client knowledge.

  • Contribute to building and the continuous refresh of the long-term vision and strategy to continue growing the business.
  • Taking ownership in business development activities and shall start pursuing opportunities and leading their delivery.
  • You will be expected to lead team members driving excellence, meet with the team strategy and required KPIs, and be active on business development and thought leaderships about specific finance matters.
  • Strong project management skills (PMP) as the delivery role requires senior client and stakeholder management, project budgeting and finance management, coaching and resource management on high profile clients.
  • A key part of delivery will be the creation, review and delivery of complex client deliverables which will include executive level reporting through to detailed design documentation.
  • Manage a global mindset and ability to connect with other colleagues across the consulting line of services and other Line of services within PwC, so we can bring to our clients high value multidisciplinary solutions.
  • Lead, coach, train and mentor junior staff, and support their growth and drawing their career path.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business studies, accounting or finance.
Experience
  • 10-13 years of audit or other relevant experience in a Big 4 firm.
  • Accounting advisory experience is beneficial. Similarly, any experience in the GCC would be beneficial.
Qualifications: Mandatory
  • to perform the role: ACA, ACCA, CPA.
