The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision-making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel. Purpose of the role: Planning and implementation from MICE perspective, Market Intelligence and management of relations with Trade (MICE), media, OTA’s and other stakeholders Work towards the plan to achieve the defined yearly targets and objectives set for the Tourism Board (Abu Dhabi Conventions & Exhibition Bureau). Responsibilities:
- Prepare the annual plan (proposed way forward) in alignment to Tourism Boards Strategy with dedicated focus on MICE
- Ensure achievement of monthly / quarterly / annual targets and objectives defined for the Tourism Board
- Analyse business needs to identify new opportunities over and above the present core businesses
- Develop new business relationships with MICE agents to generate and negotiate deliverables/prices
- Strategize with regards to alliances/partners to increase the brand awareness for the Tourism Board within the MICE space
- Identify alliances/partners keeping in mind the opportunities at hand
- Complete responsibility of managing day to day activities for Tourism board with regards to promotions for MICE
- Actively meet OTA’s, MICE agents and clients interested in big Events and movements.
- Generate leads for MICE groups
- Training and hand-holding trade - Identifying MICE agents and MICE tour operators pan India having the potential to promote the destination, creating training modules and imparting them.
- Plan and execute innovative marketing strategies, joint promotions with MICE agents, OTA’s etc. Solicit participation from private sector partners in promoting the destination
- Complete coordination with all departments at HO, discuss strategies, budgets, growth chart, connect with Tourism Boards on MICE and Corporate movements, incentive programs, and also monitoring and motivating agents to achieve given targets and deliverables
