Land Freight Operations Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: ❑ Organizational departmental planning with Branch Manager/General Manager/Director of Operations/Country Manager. ❑ Develops and implements the logistics plan and procedures for the designated projects. ❑ Selecting the most appropriate transport vendors. ❑ Providing instructions for suppliers and contractors. ❑ Responsible for management of the operational budget. ❑ Together with the manager, establishing the profit ratio. ❑ Ensure all KPIs meet customer expectations. ❑ Ensure all teams meet the customer’s and BDP Internal deadlines. ❑ Conduct periodic reviews and improve the process flow and document process flow. ❑ Carry out internal systems training to staff. ❑ Ensure billing is done correctly and timely. ❑ Monitor that all required data is updated into internal systems or customer systems (according to procedures). ❑ Reporting possible incidents to the manager. ❑ Record keeping of exceptional incidents and conduct investigations on incidents with the recommended corrective action. ❑ Preparing reports required by customers and/or internal teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; additional qualifications in supply chain management will be helpful.
- Experience of a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in the logistics field.
- Knowledge and experience of freight forwarding operations.
- Working knowledge of the operations procedure in the country.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
