UPM is looking for Saudi of the highest caliber to fill the vacancy of Project Manager under President Consultant: Functional Description: The Project Manager under the President Consultant will oversee strategic initiatives and projects that align with the university's vision and goals. This role involves managing multiple cross-functional projects, ensuring timely execution, and reporting progress to the President Consultant. The Project Manager will collaborate with various departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage strategic projects initiated by the President and the President Consultant, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project performance, providing regular updates, reports, and recommendations to the President Consultant.
  • Facilitate collaboration between academic and administrative departments to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all resources are efficiently utilized.
  • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support project success.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and provide lessons learned for future projects.
  • Stay updated on project management best practices and ensure their application within the university.
  • Assist the President Consultant in any other project-related tasks as needed.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management, preferably in a higher education or consulting environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Experience in working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges and risks.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Financial literacy with experience in managing project budgets and resources.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
