Blind Squirrel Games is a proud, independent studio that joins forces with developers and publishers seeking an innovative partner in creating quality games. At BSG, our people are our purpose, so we prioritize an inquisitive, proactive, and collaborative work environment for all our Squirrels. Depending on the needs of the project, we operate as a hybrid-remote studio, allowing our developers the flexibility to crush milestone goals at the studio or within the comfort of their own home. As an Associate Producer at Blind Squirrel Games, you will work alongside and assist other members of the Production Department in the daily production operations of one of our many exciting projects! This full-time role is based out of our Auckland, NZ studio, and we are focusing on local candidates. This role will include the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring the development processes for your designated areas of responsibility operate effectively and efficiently.
- Acting as a vital conduit of information across your team making sure they are kept informed of project status and any issues or needs.
- Working with more senior team members to create goals and schedules and track team progress towards those goals.
- Reinforcing our company culture of transparency, constant improvement, and empowering support.
- Identifying issues that affect the performance of your team and diligently removing impediments to success.
- Helping to implement improvements to processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle different tasks.
- A disposition to be pro-active, inquisitive, detail oriented, resourceful and solve problems to a deadline.
- Ability to follow instructions and be a team-player.
- Enthusiasm for learning new processes, software, and other tools.
- An understanding of how video games are created, the different roles involved and how they work together.
- A passion for playing and a deep knowledge of video games in general.
- Any kind of previous video game production or development experiences.
- Knowledge of different game development methodologies and processes.
