Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic 2025

Apprenticeship Recruitment Programme 2025 We are accepting applications for Heavy Vehicle Apprentice Mechanics for both Bus ireann and Dublin Bus to commence in August/September 2025 in Athlone, Ballina, Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Galway, Limerick, Longford, Sligo, Stranorlar, Thurles, Tralee and Waterford Garages. As a heavy vehicle mechanic apprentice, you will be trained to the very highest technical standards and will learn how to maintain all the systems in modern public service vehicles, including training on day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, vehicle diagnostics/fault finding with some of the most advanced systems of its kind in place. Your apprenticeship comprises seven phases, three off-the-job as designated by SOLAS and four on-the job that take place with Bus ireann and Dublin Bus. Minimum Entry Requirements Applicants must be at least 16 years of age Applicants must meet the ** SOLAS equivalence of qualifications **and proof must be provided on application.
