Job Title: Manager/ Senior Manager – Project Management - Deputation for a project in Sri Lanka General Description: This position will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of Solar projects in Sri Lanka. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating with all the functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering projects within budget and on schedule as per norms and regulations of Ceylon Electricity Board. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
  • Identify key stakeholders and establish communication and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure project viability
  • Experience in detailed understanding on regulations from CEB
Project Management and Coordination
  • Lead project teams and coordinate activities to ensure smooth execution of project tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and contractors.
Resource Management
  • Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve project goals efficiently.
Budget And Cost Control
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Prepare and present regular budget reports to senior management.
Quality Assurance And Compliance
  • Ensure that all project activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections and audits.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting And Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and ensure their needs and expectations are met.
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project performance.
Pre-requisites/Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s in engineering with 10-15 years of experience and minimum 5 years of experience in executing projects at International locations
  • International working experience is mandatory
  • Experience of executing the project in Sri Lanka will be an added advantage
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification will be given preference
  • Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external stakeholders.
