Position Overview: The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily activities of the engineering team to ensure that all systems, equipment, and facilities operate efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage resources and staff to meet project deadlines and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate team performance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from conception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical specifications. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align engineering activities with business goals.
- Maintenance and Operations: Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities to minimize downtime. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues. Review designs, specifications, and engineering documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage engineering budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs. Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all engineering activities comply with company policies, regulations, and industry standards. Prepare and present reports on engineering performance, maintenance activities, and project updates to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
- Proven experience in an engineering supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, systems, and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
