(Covering LMI, Tower Light with Solar, AQMS, CCTV, AI Dashcams, GPS, and PWAS) Department Product / Product Development Reports To : CPO/CEO Job Summary The Product Manager – Industrial IoT Solutions will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of diverse products, including Load Moment Indicators (LMI) for cranes, Solar-Powered Tower Lights, Air Quality Management Systems (AQMS), and other connected security and monitoring solutions (e.g., CCTV, AI Dashcams, GPS, PWAS). The role requires a strong technical and market understanding of IoT devices, sustainable energy systems, environmental compliance, and data-driven analytics. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, hardware, software, operations, sales, and marketing) to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative products that address customer needs in sectors such as construction, logistics, infrastructure, environmental management, and public safety. Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Market Insight:
- Develop a holistic product vision, encompassing LMI, solar tower lighting, AQMS, and security solutions.
- Conduct market research on evolving IoT trends, environmental regulations (e.g., air quality standards), crane safety protocols, and renewable energy solutions.
- Identify new market opportunities (e.g., smart cities, industrial safety, environmental compliance) and define target customer segments.
- Roadmap Planning & Prioritization:
- Create and maintain product roadmaps that integrate hardware components (e.g., sensors, solar panels, cameras) with software analytics platforms.
- Balance user requirements, technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and ROI when prioritizing product features or enhancements.
- Collaborate with leadership to align roadmaps with strategic goals and secure necessary resources.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
- Gather and refine detailed requirements from end-users, regulatory standards (e.g., environmental, crane safety), and internal stakeholders.
- Translate these requirements into user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for devices such as LMI systems and AQMS sensors, as well as AI-driven analytics (e.g., dashcam object detection) or solar power efficiency.
- Maintain a well-organized backlog, working closely with engineering, design, and field operations teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with hardware engineers (for crane load sensors, solar panels, cameras, GPS trackers) and software/AI teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and logistics to manage supply chain considerations for specialized components (e.g., tower lights, high-precision sensors).
- Work with sales, marketing, and customer support to craft demos, go-to-market strategies, and training materials that highlight the unique benefits of each product line.
- User Testing & Feedback Loop:
- Conduct pilots and field trials for LMI, AQMS, and solar-powered solutions, collecting real-world performance data (e.g., crane safety thresholds, air quality indices, device uptime).
- Leverage usage analytics, sensor data, and customer feedback to fine-tune device performance, user interfaces, and maintenance schedules.
- Iterate rapidly on product enhancements based on data-driven insights.
- Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Ensure all products meet relevant industry and environmental standards (e.g., OSHA for crane operations, local environmental regulations for air quality, solar panel certification).
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address data privacy, emissions, and safety requirements.
- Proactively monitor new regulations in renewable energy, environmental monitoring, and industrial safety.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Define and monitor product metrics (e.g., crane load safety margins, solar tower light uptime, AQMS data accuracy).
- Present regular product performance updates to senior management, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and potential market shifts.
- Adjust product strategy and roadmap based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay informed of advancements in IoT sensors, AI/ML, energy storage, and data transmission technologies.
- Advocate for continuous improvement in product development, deployment processes, and cross-team collaboration.
- Encourage innovation within the product team, focusing on sustainable and efficient solutions for industrial applications.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related), Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a relevant technical field. An MBA or specialized certifications (e.g., in IoT, renewable energy) is a plus.
- 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally with industrial or IoT products (e.g., sensors, control systems, environmental monitoring equipment).
- Demonstrated success in launching or managing multi-component solutions (hardware + software + analytics).
- Strong understanding of IoT architectures, including sensor integration, wireless communication, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with LMI systems, solar energy solutions, or air quality monitoring technologies.
- Competence with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!), data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships (internal teams, suppliers, and end-users).
- Creative problem-solving, with the ability to pivot quickly based on new insights or market shifts.
- Experience with crane safety standards, solar energy regulations, and air quality compliance is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., OSHA, FCC, CE, ISO 14001) and data protection regulations (where applicable).
