Lead Coach for Mini Athletics Galway

Job description as follows:

Position Overview

Deliver mini athletic classes (4) to children aged 4 to 8 years old. The classes will take place on Sundays at Cregmore National School, Claregalway, Co. Galway. Transport is required. Additional venues will be added in due course.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver fun and engaging athletic classes.
2. Ensure classes commence and finish on time.
3. Follow the class plans provided to teach age-appropriate athletic skills in a fun, structured environment using the equipment provided.
4. Ensure hall space is left in good condition post-classes.
5. Distribute purchased merchandise to the mini athletes.
6. Record attendance and report to the employer.
7. Ensure the welfare of children and parents through visual risk assessments.
8. Train, supervise, and/or be the sole charge of class attendees.

Qualifications

1. No previous experience required. Training provided.
2. Must be over 18 years old.
3. Children safeguarding course and Paediatric first aid course required. Both can be obtained during the 6-week training period.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: €15.00-€20.00 per hour Expected hours: 3 – 12 per week
