Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Senior Financial Planning Analyst Company Overview: Senior Financial Planning Analyst Role with a leading city centre-based energy provider. Commercial opportunity with flexible hybrid working. Initially being offered on a one year contract basis. Role Purpose Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for the delivery of critical management reporting outputs, ensuring high-quality, actionable insights that align with strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, commercially-minded finance professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Key Accountabilities

1. Oversee the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports.
2. Deliver comprehensive monthly performance reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and insightful analysis.
3. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the organisation, driving the delivery of Group-level financial insights and analyses.
4. Lead the financial relationship with Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, ensuring consistency and alignment of market-sensitive reporting.
5. Partner with the Strategy Manager and Head of Commercial Finance to develop robust five-year financial forecasts, coordinating across business units and challenging assumptions to support strategic decision-making.

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience.
2. Proven experience in FP&A within a dynamic, global organization.
3. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of business performance drivers.
4. Proficiency in ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools.
5. Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
