As a Software Test Engineer , this individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying issues, and collaborating with business partners and programmers to enhance our testing processes. This role involves performing various forms of testing, including Functional, Integration, Security, Service, Performance, and Regression, as well as contributing to both manual and automated testing efforts. You will work closely with the project team to gather requirements, resolve ambiguities, and build automated tests using our existing Test Automation Framework. Primary Roles & Responsibilities Of a Software Test Engineer
- Work with business partners and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and ensure that quality assurance processes are incorporated.
- Develop Test Plan and Test Case by working closely with the Project team to gather requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Perform various forms of testing like Functional, Integration, Security, Service, Performance, and Regression.
- Contribute to manual and automation testing based on necessity.
- Build automated tests using existing Test Automation Framework.
- Query and basic reporting using SQL.
- Perform test runs, record test results, execute status report and communicate to appropriate audience.
- Analyze product issues as they arise, debug, and record all relevant information in a defect triaging platform.
- Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ.
- Work independently on projects, where tasks are self-determined and not specifically assigned.
- Ability to breakdown complex requirements and generate test data for wide coverage.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong testing experience.
- Experience working on a test case tracking and defect management tool.
- Database expertise using SQL.
- Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to drive change.
- Automation experience using platforms such as Selenium Web driver.
- Testing APIs (SOAP/REST services) using SOAPUI or Postman.
- Ability to create/interpret XML/Json files.
